This little guy is at 300 dpi. Originally at 360 because of my class assignment, but shrunken down.

And I lied, this is the last WIP. Going to be afk for the next few days as I try to find a working version of Maya, and animate and record everything to my liking.

brb gaiz.

Wasn't this supposed to be you? Because if so, you are totally making yourself look like a boss right now.

Murder the Afflicted, like a boss.

The earlier project was a self portrait. Now this is all just about my Warrior.

I have a question though. Since this is now just an image. How the hell are you going to animate it? Or are you just going to add some small moving details/effects?

I'm pretty sure there is going to be sparks flying around with a windy sound and the waving sound of his cape. Atleast.

Yeah, the animation and sounds are going to be more advanced this time around. Should be cool.

The animations you did for your Halloween piece really enhanced the scary, creepy feeling, so I can't wait to see what you do for this one!

I think you should have 2 versions though :P The second version should have a little speech bubble appear with "KERPLAAAAAH" in it <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Lol at your spoiler.

Yeah, the animation will help add a little extra atmosphere to this piece as well. I'm sure the music is going to be a little unexpected too. It won't be GW or orchestral music.

Though I hit a setback in the past few days. I got my hands on a version of Adobe After Effects, which by the way is an extremely powerful program. But the size of my picture and the dozen layers it has made it next to impossible to actually work with the program - I seriously wasted three days on effects without creating anything complete in the end.

So instead, I'm going oldschool on this thing and painstakingly animating each individual layer with different effects to mach the idea I have in my head.

EDIT

NEVERMIND! It just now clicked in my head how to get this program to work properly without creating 8 second animations that are 6gigs. AWWWWWRIIIIIGHT

This program really makes you appreciate the people who do special effects and the sort. It's taking so much work and effort just to do some simple animations that only last 8 seconds, lol.

After Effects <3 I got some good use out of it while doing my graphic design degree, and I gotta say it's super powerful and super fun. Kinda miss doing animation on it actually...

And that wip is looking superawesometastic! I cannot wait to see how the effects and everything are going to look.

Huh, with you doing this here and then this other artist on DA I totally wanna try my hand at something similar. :3
